- Resolution Urges Stricter Limits on Coffee Labeling. County Council members praised a resolution Wednesday urging the state Legislature to set tighter limits on using Hawaii location names to sell coffee. The resolution calls for state legislators to develop laws requiring that coffee blends be at least 51% Hawaii-grown in order to use Hawaii geographic names in their labeling.
- Swimming with Dolphins in Hawaii is Disallowed. The National Marine Fisheries Service published its final rule banning the popular practice in Hawaiian waters.
- Hawaii Opening for Fully Vaccinated International Travelers. Hawaii is ready to welcome fully vaccinated international travelers starting November 8th. International travelers must show both their vaccination record and a negative COVID test within three days of boarding a flight to the U.S.

U.S. Annual Home Price Growth Reaches a New All-Time High
|
|
|
According to market analyst CoreLogic, national home prices increased 18% in August 2021 compared to August 2020. Home prices rose sharply in the Pacific Northwest with Bend, Oregon, experiencing the highest year-over-year increase at 37%. Twin Falls, Idaho, ranked second with a year-over-year increase of 36%. At the state level, Idaho and Arizona again led the way with the strongest price growth at 32% and 30%, respectively.
